The One With No Sleep

Have you ever noticed how quickly the night goes by when you are sleeping, and how it drags on for eons when you are not? I got absolutely zero minutes of sleep last night. Mostly I just listened to the rain all night. You would think I could solve the world’s problems in that much lying in bed awake time, but as it turns out, I couldn’t even solve my own. I have eight 10- and 11-year-old girls coming over for an activity today, which activity was to have been a photo shoot for Mother's Day. The only problem is, it has been pouring rain for hours and hours. So... what should I do with them? Help!

I think that wet 10 and 11 year olds will be darling.

Go for it. Get it done. Feed 'em rice crispie treats. Send 'em home. Order pizza for dinner. Buy earplugs. Go to bed.
OK?

Tauna, I love how you think outside the box. Especially since I am too tired to. I did not think of just doing the pics anyway...

That would be cute all the girls playing in the rain, splashing in puddles running around with umbrella's.
I think your rain is on is way to my house it's been cloudy for 2 days now.
Hope you can get a nap :)

Oh man I can relate to this only too well - especially lately.
No sleeps just...sucks - sorry but it does.

I'm sure your girls will love whatever you do even if it is just talking and eating.

Good luck and hope you get some sleep tonight.

OH MAN...I had this same problem the first part of the week. When I don't sleep I think to much. And most of the time I over think to much!!

I'm sure it's too late to help with this one...I hope you figured out something to do and that you had fun doing it!

Dying to know what you did on a rainy day! Activity day girls are so much fun, we usually could do outdoor activities only about 3-4 times a year it seemed like, it was either toooo hot or toooo cold, or toooo rainy. Baking, scrapbooks, making a video - some of our favorites.
